Adult Programs
At The Columbus Museum, we believe in being lifelong learners. That’s why we offer a robust selection of adult programs with something for everyone. No matter what your interests are, there is a program for you!
Our Programs
-
Art-Making Workshops
Discover your inner artist with an adult workshop! Inspired by the Museum’s permanent collection and exhibitions, we will explore different mediums through a short gallery discussion and hands-on art-making. All materials provided and no experience required. Prices vary.
-
Community Conversations
The Columbus Museum’s re-imagined lecture series, Community Conversations strives to bring meaningful discussions to our community around issues that impact and inform our daily lives. Moving away from a traditional lecture, this program brings together scholars, artists, activists, and other community leaders in a participatory, multi-dimensional exchange of ideas.
FREE.
-
Adult Classes
Want to learn more about the items in the Museum’s collection? Consider participating in our Art History 101/History 101 classes. Each class will take an in depth look at two objects in the Museum’s collection and explore their background, how they relate to each other, and what they tell us about our shared history. FREE.
-
Yoga at The Museum
Our monthly yoga classes provide a chance to unwind, relax, and get in touch with yourself and the Museum. Each class starts with a short mindfulness exercise in the galleries, followed by sixty minutes of gentle yoga led by Sue Tomkiewicz.
FREE for members/ $5 for future members.
-
Gallery Experiences
The Columbus Museum offers a variety of gallery experiences, from docent-guided Sunday Snapshot tours to Look @ Lunchtime, a curator-led gallery discussion that you can enjoy on your lunch break.
